Ravi Venkatesan

Chief Executive Officer

Ravi Venkatesan was named Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors at Cantaloupe in September 2022, after serving as Chief Operating Officer starting in February 2022 and as Chief Technology Officer from December 2020. He is responsible for leadership of the company’s architecture, development, network and business operations, product teams, as well as customer success. A proven leader with extensive expertise in product development, information systems, software development and program management, Mr. Venkatesan brings more than 20 years of experience in driving innovative change within technology environments.

Previously, Mr. Venkatesan was Head of Innovation at Bakkt. He held the dual roles of Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer at Bridge2 Solutions, preceding its sale to ICE, the parent company of Bakkt. Prior to his position at Bakkt he was the Vice President of Information Technology Strategy and Delivery at Cbeyond. Earlier in his career he spent time as a consulting leader with Accenture. 

Mr. Venkatesan graduated from Bangalore University with a degree in Electronics and went through a Post Graduate Program in Finance and Information Management from the Management Development Institute.

Scott Stewart

Chief Financial Officer

Scott Stewart was named Chief Financial Officer in February of 2022, overseeing the Company’s finance organization, including financial strategy and operations, accounting and financial reporting, planning and analysis, tax, treasury, and investor relations.  Mr. Stewart joins Cantaloupe after serving 13 years with the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), which operates exchanges and clearing houses across the globe, such as the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and provides data services and technology solutions to financial institutions, investors and corporations.  During his time at ICE, he served in various positions, most recently as Assistant Controller, where his responsibilities included managing and overseeing the production of external financial statements, implementation of new accounting standards, maintaining corporate controls and ensuring SOX compliance across all accounting processes. Following ICE’s acquisition of NYSE, Mr. Stewart supervised the integration of NYSE’s accounting function into ICE’s accounting group, including the transition of employees, consolidation of job functions, roles and responsibilities, and moving the NYSE accounting function from New York to Atlanta.  Prior to his employment with Intercontinental Exchange Inc., Mr. Stewart was a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young (where he was employed from 2003 – 2007).

A graduate of Clemson University, Mr. Stewart holds both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Professional Accountancy. He is also a certified public accountant.

Gaurav Singal

Gaurav Singal

Chief Technology Officer

Gaurav Singal was named Chief Technology Officer in September 2022. Singal has over 20 years in experience scaling technology companies and driving product innovation. Prior to joining Cantaloupe, Singal served as the executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of the Georgia Lottery Corporation, where he led the organization through a successful digital transformation. His previous experience includes serving as the Chief Product Officer for Last Mile at XPO Logistics, a Vice President of technology at Goldman Sachs, and as a former technology startup founder.

Singal holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology at Delhi and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, Chicago.

Jeff Dumbrell

Jeff Dumbrell

Chief Revenue Officer

Jeff Dumbrell was named Chief Revenue Officer in January 2022. Dumbrell has over 20 years of experience building and scaling high-performing payments and technology organizations globally. From 2008 to 2013, Dumbrell served as EVP of Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific at VeriFone Systems, Inc. where revenue grew during his tenure from approximately $350 million to over $900 million across 50+ countries. Prior to that role, Dumbrell led VeriFone’s North America effort for five years, growing revenue to over $350 million. While at VeriFone he expanded the company’s highly successful channel partnership relationships in the US, Canada, and throughout Europe and the Middle East. Prior to joining Cantaloupe, Dumbrell served as Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships at Boost Payment Solutions. Dumbrell co-founded and was CEO of PowaPOS, a B2B infrastructure provider of tablet and smartphone-based payments technology for the point-of-sale industry, prior to its sale to SuperCom (Nasdaq: SPCB) in 2016.

Elyssa Steiner

Elyssa Steiner

Vice President of Marketing

Elyssa Steiner joined Cantaloupe through the acquisition of Cantaloupe Systems, in 2017. In her current role as Vice President of Marketing she oversees all aspects of the marketing team. Her responsibilities include the development and implementation of all strategic marketing campaigns that drive measurable results and support the company’s critical business objectives. Prior to the merger she served as the Director of Marketing and focused on building and executing the overall strategic direction of marketing for Cantaloupe Systems.

Ms. Steiner has been in the unattended retail industry since 2010. Before joining Cantaloupe Systems, she served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Avanti Markets, where she was one of the early pioneers to introduce micro markets to the unattended retail industry. During her tenure at Avanti Markets she was responsible for leading the company’s sales and marketing strategies and played a key role in increasing annual revenue by $20 million over the course of four years.

During her tenure in this market, Ms. Steiner’s enthusiasm and success have led her to become a well-respected mentor and award-winning executive in the industry. In 2013 she was voted Automatic Merchandiser Readers’ Choice Manufacturer Representative of the Year.  She has served on NAMA’s Government Affairs, WIN (Women of the Industry) and ELN (Emerging Leaders Network) committees.  She has also served as a contributor to the Frost & Sullivan Marketing community. When not dedicating her time to the industry, she stays active by taking spin classes, and playing pickleball, as well as traveling and spending time with her family and friends. 

Ms. Steiner has a Master’s in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Marketing from the University of Washington.
